Leah Larsen earned her BFA in Sculpture + Extended Media from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2014. Since then she has accepted commissions of all media types from bronze to wood to print. Her interest in three-dimensional and two-dimensional product design has led her to utilize her sculptural and graphic design skills to create one-of-a-kind pieces and products. Leah's work welcomes all kinds of materials and methods of making which creates a conversation about conventional feminine and masculine practices. Leah is based out of Waynesboro, Virginia and frequents Richmond, Charlottesville, and Staunton for artistic opportunities and inspiration.
Style & Quality
Leah utilizes gestural lines and washes of color to create simplistic yet sophisticated designs. Her stationary and prints are direct translations of pen and inks, watercolors, or purely digital artwork. Other products for “Wares” and “Accessories” include her more sculptural works that she feels inspired to create or up-cycle. Leah uses high quality materials for all products and packages each item by hand to ensure quality and condition.
Interest & Originality
Leah believes that well-made products and original works can be and should be affordable, accessible, and inclusive to all people. Most of her designs and creations are based on popular interests, the environment, and life at home. She translates her doodles into pen and ink, watercolor, and graphic pieces while fueling inspiration for other handmade or up-cycled items. Leah's original works come in a variety of mediums and are a great gift or accent in any home.
